I have had experience working on commercial productions, such as at RD Content, where I shadowed key members of the RD team, including Creative and Post Production.
When working there, I supported their creative team with research and ideation for our live projects and reviewed their animation work. I also spent time at our film studios (RD Studios), where I attended a virtual reality shoot and assisted the team. I was referred to as 'punctual, hardworking, organised, reliable and a delight to work with', as noted in my reference letter. I've also had experience working on short films, and most recently a commercial shoot for Moviebytes LTD, where I was a camera assistant, setting up equipment and getting the camera (Sony FX3) in the right settings.
I've also had experience working as a Young Juror for a film festival. I represented the festival and contributed to its programme and Short Film award selections. The experience pushed me beyond simply watching films to critically evaluating storytelling, recognising creative merit and considering how different stories resonate with audiences. Collaborating with fellow jurors strengthened my ability to communicate ideas, defend my opinions and make thoughtful decisions as part of a team. I also had the opportunity to speak publicly to the audience at the short film screenings about the importance of film in sharing perspectives, challenging assumptions and bringing people together. This developed my confidence in public speaking and my ability to articulate my ideas clearly and passionately.
Furthermore, last year I also interned at a publicity company called CLD Communications, where, for two weeks, I gained hands-on experience pitching to top-tier media outlets and managing talent schedules. I want to bring my creative and communications skills together in a job that is both fun, fulfilling, and purposeful.
