I'm Megan John, a self-starting filmmaker based in Cardiff working primarily in documentary. I'm passionate about making (and watching!) TV and film and am looking for runner and researcher opportunities across the industry, with a particular interest in factual and natural world productions. My latest documentary, Absence of Noise, was made in partnership from Roundhouse London and follows a Cardiff-based therapist using gardening to explore nature, mental health and climate anxiety.

Over the past four years, I've independently directed, produced and edited documentaries, coordinating contributors, organising shoots and managing logistics both independently and as part of small crews. I enjoy the practical, fast-paced side of production and take initiative to help things run smoothly. Alongside my film work, I spent four years working in a busy arts and music venue as an Events Assistant, where I developed strong organisational skills and learned to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

I hold a full UK driving licence, have my own car and experience driving vans, and am happy to travel for location work ! Read Less
