Sarah is a horticulturalist, researcher and educator. Currently in the final year of her RHS Master of Horticulture she is fascinated by plants, the outside world and questions that are yet to be answered. Sarah has delivered talks at Wisley Hilltop in her spare time and enjoys researching areas that catch her intrest.

Horticultural therapy is a particular interest for Sarah; she volunteers at the Therapy Garden as a Trustee. Sarah's life experience has given her a wealth of transferable skills, she is personable and extremely organised from her years running a successful clothing alterations business and Hortigrow ltd. She won a Shell live wire award for young entrepreneurs at the start of her career which instilled confidence to give new things a try. Moving from customer facing roles into education roles developed her communication, IT and time management skills to an extremely high standard.

Most recently Sarah lead a small group of students to design a show garden at BBC Gardeners World spring fair, the students won a ‘Gold Medal’ and ‘Best College Garden’ watching and guiding her students to such an important achievement at the start of their careers was a real joy and enabled them to enjoy team building, decision making, horticultural knowledge and recognition that she hopes will help them florish in the horticultural world.

Sarah's family are now flying the nest and she is ready for her next adventure. Read Less
