I am a hands-on producer and development executive with over ten years' experience taking large-scale projects from an initial idea through to delivery. I specialise in documentary, and I've also worked in factual, docudrama and recreation, and scripted drama. Commissioners I have produced work for include: Amazon; HBO; Showtime; A&E; MGM Studios; CNN Films; Vice TV; and Netflix. In 2023, I was chosen as one of Realscreen’s Factual Under 40 – a nominated list of ‘non-fiction and unscripted’s bright lights and future stars.’
Most recently, I was lead EP on HOLLYWOOD HUSTLER, a three-part Amazon Original true-con thriller documentary series with dramatized recreation, released at the end of last year. It’s the story of the man who masterminded Hollywood’s biggest Ponzi scheme, told through the eyes of those closest to him. I found the story, created the project, and packaged it – singlehandedly attaching all contributors and producing the pitch materials, bringing in Rebecca Chaiklin (Tiger King) to direct and Chris Smith (100 Foot Wave; Jim & Andy; Fye) as an EP – before leading the pitches. I then worked closely with both Rebecca and our Amazon execs, producing it through to final delivery, covering every area from shoot logistics to conducting interviews and directing recreation to overseeing the edit. It spent weeks in Amazon’s US top 10, and picked up an Emmy nomination. ‘
Is there anything better than a Ponzi scheme documentary? No, there is not, and this three-part profile of “big-time nobody” Zach Horwitz is an exquisite example.’ (The Times).
Now based in London, I spent five years as an Executive Producer and Dev Exec at Vice Studios and Pulse Films from 2021 to 2026, creating and producing flagship documentary projects, while also working with the scripted team to adapt several of those into scripted features and series. Before that I was in LA for six years, working with Passion Pictures on their American productions alongside Oscar-winning producers John Battsek and Diane Becker. The team in LA was extremely small, which provided an amazing learning experience. During that time, I was promoted from Director’s Assistant to Associate Producer, and then Producer. I was across every stage of the filmmaking process on documentary, docudrama, and scripted drama films and series, most notably on The Final Year (HBO), a vérité feature doc following the Obama administration during their last year in office and Trump’s first (unanticipated) election, and scripted feature Sergio (Netflix), starring Wagner Moura and Ana de Armas. On the documentary side, my roles ranged from research and development – writing treatments, designing decks, directing sizzles, attaching and managing high-level and extremely sensitive contributors and institutions – to production logistics (both documentary and recreation), conducting interviews, directing documentary shoots, overseeing recreation shoots, story structuring, archival producing, overseeing edits, scripting edits, as well as actually editing scenes myself. On the scripted side, I provided extensive script and edit notes, in addition to working on production logistics and many of the same responsibilities I performed on the documentary projects.
Between the permanent roles above, I've also produced individual projects, and I'm as at home in a development office as I am on a shoot, or in an edit and overseeing post. I hold an O-1 visa for work in the US.
