It’s a fair question. Eleven Labs are the leading AI voice tool. It’s used for everything these days.. if you’re hearing an AI voice.. There are other option.. but there is a good chance its from eleven labs.
Celebs like Michael Cain have even officially licensed their voices to them.
But it has a way of designing totally new voices and personalities which can then be used specifically for your characters.
And you can promt breaths,internation…to really get the performance you need from each line of the script.
I know a few actors that are very happy receiving constant payment for that.
It’s also means that your voice is on their system.. anyone using it unauthorised… they will likely follow up.
Also.
If you act.. register your face with Twinin… it’s free and stops your face being used in AI video’s without you getting paid.
And you’d be surprised where this data is pulled from..such as social media.
There were a lot of happy actors at their event.
